Happy Thanksgiving! Another year has gone by and it is time to take stock of what we have, and how blessed we are.
One thing I am giving thanks for this year, is my health insurance. Not everyone has it. Bash him for not being perfect, as we may, at least Obama is trying to do something. The working poor and the uninsured in this country has reached epidemic levels. And, as a billing and collections supervisor for a major university teaching hospital, I see it every day.
So this year, I am grateful for the benefit of not only having insurance for myself, but also for my entire family. I am thankful that even though I wish my copay and deductible were lower, I have them to complain about. And, if I stay at my job long enough, I will have it for the rest of my life.
So, whoever you give thanks to on this special day, consider your health at the top of the list. I give all my thanks to God
Until next time:
